About the job Your main role as a Data Steward will be to understand and trace the lineage, meaning, content, relevance and format of data elements within organization. You will act as a bridge between business processes and IT systems from the data perspective to ensure data quality, accuracy, format and definition. You will work on a cross-border basis and be engaged in a lot of cooperation and communication with different units in Swedbank Group (both business and IT).
Areas of responsibility in specific:
Define, manage and publish:
- Business terms and definitions of data elements
- Standards and rules for data elements
Map business terms with database objects in IT systems
Monitor and report data quality
Analyze data quality issues root-causes and evaluate their business impact
Resolve issues where possible, escalate where necessary and propose improvement activities
Analyze, define and document business data requirements
Test systems and data (from a business perspective) during IT System acquisition or changes
Consult and support data consumers, be expert in different projects
About you As a Data Steward you should share the bank's core values and be a strongly committed team player with a drive to always deliver results to your team and stakeholders. As a person you are solution oriented and are able to work independently. You are also described by strong execution capability – strong initiative, drive and persistence.
Data Governance unit is looking for 2 Data Stewards (one of them with Market Risk area competence)
You are a perfect candidate, if you have:
Previous work experience with data analyses
Good analytical and logical thinking with creative attitude
Ability to work independently
Data query skills ()
Ability to use office software on a good level (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Visio and other)
Higher education or obtaining one (preferably in finance, mathematics, statistics, economics, or IT)
Fluent written and spoken English
Basic understanding of database modelling and design will be an advantage
Competence in Market Risk area will be an advantage
