Swedish Power Trader M/F
The position is within the Business Marketing Department, which is responsible for negotiating and implementing new strategies for marketing the electricity produced by our power plants. Role reports into the Director of the Department and the Sweden Branch.
Role Overview:
Work at the trading desk and on developing strategies, processes, systems, and tools to enhance business operations.
Maintain and develop Nordic wind power forecasting and bidding strategies.

As a Power Trader, you will have the following responsibilities :
Day-ahead/Intraday Power trading in the Swedish office.
Trading the long-term products (forward market) power market, analyzing and seeking out new opportunities and trends.
Execution of trades with proven strategies and risk tolerances.
Manage, monitor, and comply with risk exposure.
Ensure compliance with regulations and reporting within the Energy Market.
Refine, and develop trading strategies.
Analysis of trading performance and trading metrics to ensure informed decisions are made.
Maintain and develop the Nordic wind forecasting and bidding process.
Coordinate business stakeholder participation, addressing processes, systems, etc.
Translate business and functional requirements into technical specifications.
Challenge established solutions and initiate new business improvements.
Utilize IT solutions and data analysis for wind forecasting and optimization.
Use data analysis and visualization tools such as Python and Power BI to digitize and leverage data for model developments and improvements.
Travel is to be expected in France and occasionally abroad.

Qualifications:
Having a broad understanding of European power fundamentals. Analytical mindset and strong ability to navigate the markets.
2 to 4 years of relevant Nordic Power trading experience. Strong attention to detail, and numerical accuracy.
Fluent in Swedish and English.
Proactive, Rigorous and Analytical.
Strong communication skills for cross-functionally (marketing, operation, finance, etc.) communication.
Work independently and effectively presentation.
Technical and programming skills, ability to build and use complex models, including with libraries for Machine Learning (Keras, Scikit-Learn...) would be a plus.
Familiar with valuation/pricing models in commodities environment.
Strong analytical skills with experience of building models, leveraging optimization and Data Science techniques.

As a deputy manager of Powerhouse project in CGN Sweden, your job is to assist the powerstation manager to manage the operation and maintenance (O&M) of PowerHouse project. This includes managing the operation team, managing O&M costs, ensuring the safety and reliability of equipment, achieving performance targets, and aligning operations with industry best practices and ISO requirements.


Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Development:
Build and lead, a localized O&M team to achieve operational excellence.
Define team objectives, monitor performance, and ensure alignment with company goals.
Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
Provide training, mentorship, and career development opportunities to team members.
Ensure clear, timely, and effective communication within the team and with other departments.



Operational and Maintenance Management:
Oversee daily O&M activities, ensuring safe and stable operations of turbines and associated equipment.
Monitor turbine operations at least three times daily to address performance anomalies.
Ensure timely resolution of equipment defects, with a focus on prioritized corrective actions (e.g., TOP3 issues).
Coordinate and supervise external repair and maintenance teams to maintain high-quality service standards.



Performance and KPI Management:
Manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for the assigned wind farm portfolio, focusing on:
Grid-connected electricity output.
System availability (?96%).
Implement strategies such as “one machine, one policy” to continuously improve efficiency.
Report project status, revenues, and achievements to senior management.



Budget and Resource Management:
Develop, manage, and monitor O&M budgets for the Power Station.
Optimize resource allocation to control costs while maintaining operational quality.
Recommend and oversee capital improvement projects aligned with strategic goals.



Stakeholder and Contractor Management:
Select, manage, and evaluate contractors, including O&M providers and consultants.
Build strong relationships with local stakeholders, such as grid operators, government entities, and communities.
Represent the Power Station in public and private interfaces, ensuring a positive image and effective communication.



Safety and Compliance:
Promote and maintain the highest QHSE standards, striving for “six zero goals” (e.g., zero injuries, zero incidents).
Help to ensure full compliance with ISO 14001, 45001, and 55001 certifications.
Establish and enforce standardized safety systems and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.



Engineering and Project Support:
Supervise the evaluation and improvement of current equipment and work methods.
Analyze technical anomalies and oversee resolution processes.

CGNEE are currently seeking to grow our team with the addition of an experienced, motivated and solution focused Windfarm Asset Manager with a good track record to join the team in our Umeå office managing the on-going operations of our 850MW portfolio in Sweden. Reporting to the project team leader, you will ensure that the windfarms in the portfolio is operated in accordance with CGNEE’s Operational Standard, all statutory and local requirements, and a high level of performance maintained throughout.


Job description
Perform general windfarm asset management including tracking wind farms production, alarms, and failures, reviewing and completing monthly reports including production, availability and outage reporting as required
Manage contracts and various agreements for assigned windfarms
Liaise and manage relationships by representing the company effectively with local stakeholders, landowners, locals, and authorities
Travel to CGNEE wind farm sites in Sweden as required. Occasional trips within Europe are also possible
Support team mates to resolve company critical matters as required
Take a leadership role when required on issues and ensure they are driven to completion


Profile
Higher education with technical and/or commercial/contractual focus.
A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
Excellent team player, goal-orientated, dynamic with the skill to motivate others successfully.
Strong stakeholder relationship building skills
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
A quick learner: when faced with new situations/problems, takes guidance well and develops a full understanding of the matter

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to report both good and bad news on issues, current project status, upcoming deadlines etc. in a precise manner.

Previous work experience from Asset Management
Commercial/contractual experience
