Sartorius Data Analytics (formerly Umetrics) is a global leader in providing data analytics software tools from Design of Experiments (DOE), Multivariate Data Analysis (MVDA) to real-time prediction and AI. As Head of Development in the Data Analytics function at Sartorius you will be responsible for the execution of the development roadmap of the Umetrics Software based on market needs and on the fulfilment of technical specifications. You role will be to oversee the entire development process based on the Product Development roadmap. You are an experienced software development leader who has a genuine interest in leading and motivating others towards set goals.
This position is based in Umeå (either full-time or partly on site/ partly remote).
About the position:
Responsible for the technical landscape for the products and platforms within the Umetrics Suite based on state of the art technology
Setting up a development infrastructure, strategies and operations for the software development
Defining methodology and processes for development projects
Aligning with product management on defining product or application roadmap
Secure and develop competencies and skillsets for shaping a high performing team, including training and mentoring team members
Introducing new technological developments and trends in development tools and techniques
Leadership responsibilities as a member of Data Analytics Leadership Team
Initiating and driving collaboration with relevant stakeholders within the Sartorius organisation

About you:
MSc in Computer Science and Engineering or equivalent
Extensive experience in working in software development as well as a proven track record of successful development projects
Expert in development project management including operational toolsets like SCRUM, Dev Ops etc.
Experience from pharma, bio-pharma or life science industries would be beneficial
Extensive leadership skills and experience, preferably from software development but also in general management
Driving collaboration across the team and business as a whole
Strong communication skills.
Possessing a strategic mind-set and the ability to translate strategy into defined actions.
Fluent in English, both spoken and written is a requirement
